- Course intro and overview. The Four Stages of Successful Careers in Engineering. How do I personally define career success?
- Engineers as Innovators. Where do breakthrough ideas come from? How can I develop the habits of innovative thinkers?
- Engineers as Leaders in Organizations. Exploding the myth of technical meritocracy. How to exercise technical influence inside an organization.
- Amphibious Engineers. Pure research, pure commerce, or both? Having impact without selling out.
Assessment Method
Students are expected to attend class sessions (face-to-face activity) and participate in discussions. Assessment will depend on attendance, completion of three self-assessments and submission of a personal career plan based on the concepts covered in class.

In order for the grade to be counted, students must send the course certificate to the programme coordinator.
